About Robert:Robert A. Welch, Jr. is an associate of the Detroit office of Kitch, Drutchas, Wagner, Valitutti & Sherbrook. He is a member of the firm's birth trauma defense practice, one of the most well-respected birth trauma practices in the country. He is experienced in cases in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as birth trauma and general medical malpractice. Mr. Welch is also a member of Kitch's nation corporate counsel on behalf of several clients supported nationwide and has participated in cases from almost all 50 states including Hawaii and Alaska.
Mr. Welch is a member of the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association and is also actively engaged in the community and frequently volunteers for the Birmingham Community House Uptown Group.
Mr. Welch earned his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and graduated on the Dean?s List. He was an Honor?s Scholarship recipient and earned the Certificate of Merit in constitutional law and special recognition for essay writing in contract law and property law.
Robert also served as an intern for the Honorable Avern L. Cohn of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Minor in Japanese from Western Michigan University.
